Getting There

Dinguiraye is hard to reach. There is no airport and no railway. The town sits on the N1 highway between Faranah and Siguiri, roughly six to eight hours of difficult driving from Conakry and three from Kankan.

The most common approach is by shared taxi or minibus from Kankan (around three hours when the road is dry) or from Faranah. In the rainy season (June to October) the unpaved sections can become impassable for days at a time; check conditions locally before setting out.

There are no formal hotels; visitors stay with local hosts or in basic guesthouses arranged through the mosque administration.
