Hannington View Point is a useful stop if you are exploring the southern side of the reserve. The name recalls the lake's former colonial name, Lake Hannington, but the present-day view is the reason to pause.
Look for the contrast between bare slopes, pale lake water, and the darker green where springs and seasonal drainage support vegetation. It is a good place to understand how narrow and fault-bound the lake basin is.
