Lake Bogoria is hot and dry for much of the year. Early morning and late afternoon are best for light, birds, and comfort, while midday can be punishing around the springs and open shore.
Flamingo numbers move between Rift Valley lakes depending on water level and algae, so there is no absolute guarantee. Ask locally before making the lake the sole reason for a long detour.
