Central Maseru is walkable in a couple of hours, and most of the city's hotels, restaurants and government buildings cluster along Kingsway and the streets that branch off it. For longer trips around town, shared minibus taxis (M10–15) work the main routes from a chaotic rank below the main market.
Metered taxis are scarce; regular taxis can be ordered through your hotel or the e-hailing apps (Yango and Bolt operate in Maseru). For day trips out of the city — Thaba Bosiu, Roma, Morija — your best bet is a private car or a half-day tour from one of the city hotels. Hire cars from South Africa generally cross the border without trouble; check insurance covers Lesotho.
