Medina Museum

Small museum of Libyan life inside the old medina

Tucked inside Tripoli's old medina, this small museum occupies a restored traditional house and covers aspects of Libyan daily life, crafts, and history. The collection includes illustrated panels, manuscripts, and household artifacts from the Ottoman and Italian colonial periods.

The museum is open weekday mornings (roughly 8am to 2pm) and admission is free. It won't take more than an hour, but it's a worthwhile stop while exploring the medina's narrow streets.
