Dar Sultan Palace

Dar Sultan Palace is a ruined 18th-century royal retreat in the dunes south of Essaouira. The palace is no longer grand, but bits of masonry, old floor mosaics, and the lonely setting still make it an atmospheric walk from the beach.

The route crosses the shallow Oued Igrounzer and continues into the low hills beyond the sand. Wear shoes that can handle loose ground, and treat the site as a quiet ruin rather than a managed attraction.
