Sefrou is 28–30 km southeast of Fes on the road toward Ifrane and the Middle Atlas. Grand taxis run regularly from the Fes taxi ranks — the journey takes around 40 minutes and is cheap. Local buses also cover the route.
If you are coming from Ifrane or Azrou, Sefrou is on the way north toward Fes and easily incorporated into a mountain loop. The road between Sefrou and the cedar forests of Ifrane is one of the nicer drives in this part of Morocco.
