Halifax Island

Halifax Island lies off Luderitz and is known for its African penguin colony, one of the few along this part of the Namibian coast. Boat trips from town usually look for penguins, seals, flamingos, and sometimes dolphins in the surrounding waters.

Landing is not the point here; the attraction is the wildlife viewing from the boat and the stark coastal setting around Luderitz Bay.
