Walvis Bay's restaurant scene is more pragmatic than Swakopmund's just up the coast, but the few good places use the same superb cold-water seafood — fresh oysters from the Lüderitz farms, kingklip, hake, calamari — and the few standouts are worth the trip.
The Raft (on stilts over the lagoon) is the showcase restaurant, with the best views in town. Anchors at the Jetty and Crazy Mama's are good middle-range options. The waterfront promenade has a cluster of cheap takeaway places for fish and chips. Local craft beers from Camelthorn Brewery in Windhoek are widely available; the wines are mostly South African.
