In-Gall is on a dirt and gravel road 130 km west of Agadez, normally a three to four hour drive in a 4×4. Agadez is the regional hub: it has the closest airport (Mano Dayak International) and the offices of the few tour operators who still arrange Saharan travel.
There are no scheduled buses to In-Gall. Most visitors arrive by hired 4×4 with driver and guide from Agadez. During the Cure Salée festival there are charter flights and convoy trips arranged by Nigerien tour operators; outside the festival visits are very rare. Travel requires permits from the regional administration in Agadez and is subject to the security situation — verify current requirements with your operator before committing.
