Umusambi Village is a restored wetland reserve run by the Rwanda Wildlife Conservation Association. It protects habitat for grey crowned cranes and other birds, with walking paths, guided visits, and a small cafe.
It is one of Kigali's easiest nature breaks, especially for birdwatchers or families who want a quieter stop away from the city centre. Guided tours help make sense of the wetland restoration work.
