Príncipe rewards slow travel. The island is small enough that a single week lets you cover the key beaches, walk into the rainforest, and still have time to simply sit on a roça veranda and do nothing useful. Guided birdwatching and hiking should be booked through the Fundação Príncipe or a registered guide — the forest paths are unmarked and the endemic birds require expert ears to locate.
