Getting There

Cap Skirring has a small airport (CSK) with seasonal flights from Dakar — Air Senegal and occasionally other carriers run direct routes, but frequency varies by season and year, so check current schedules before planning around it. The flight takes about an hour. Overland from Dakar, the journey involves either the long northern road through Gambia — which requires a border crossing and can take ten hours or more — or the southern route via Ziguinchor, the main city of Casamance, which is about two to three hours from Cap Skirring by sept-place shared taxi. From Ziguinchor there are also pirogue and boat options down the Casamance river. Many visitors fly to Ziguinchor (also served from Dakar) and travel the final stretch by road.
