Cape Quarter is a converted warehouse complex in the heart of De Waterkant, housing a mix of boutiques, design shops, restaurants and delis around a central courtyard and piazza. It is the commercial anchor of the neighbourhood and the easiest starting point for exploring the area.
The ground floor runs to upmarket food stalls, a well-stocked deli and a couple of outdoor restaurants facing the piazza. The upper floors have furniture and design stores, clothing boutiques and a few galleries. It is busiest at lunchtime and on Saturday mornings, when the surrounding streets also fill with pedestrians from the nearby Waterfront.
