Wolves is a craft beer bar and gastropub in The Zone @ Rosebank, and one of the most reliable evening destinations in the city. The South African craft beer scene has grown considerably in the past decade and Wolves keeps a good rotating selection — expect a mix of IPAs, wheat beers, and sours from Cape Town and Gauteng breweries, alongside decent imports. The food menu (burgers, pizzas, bar snacks) is solid rather than exceptional.
The atmosphere is relaxed and the crowd is mixed: after-work on weekdays, groups on weekends. It is the kind of place you can go alone and sit at the bar without it being uncomfortable, which is a useful quality. Rosebank Gautrain station is a short walk away, making it an easy last stop before heading back to wherever you are staying.
