Phalaborwa's main draw is its direct border with Kruger National Park — the gate is on the edge of town, and this northern section of the park sees a fraction of the crowds found at the southern camps. Beyond Kruger, the town has a unique open-pit mine viewpoint and a couple of worthwhile cultural stops.
