By air
Lomé–Tokoin International Airport (LFW) is Togo's only international airport, handling all flights in and out of the country. Air France connects Lomé directly to Paris, and Ethiopian Airlines is often the easiest option if you are coming from elsewhere in Africa or from Asia. Brussels Airlines also serves Lomé from Europe. From the US, you will typically route through Paris, Brussels, or Addis Ababa.
By land
Togo shares borders with Ghana to the west, Benin to the east, and Burkina Faso to the north. The most-used overland entry point is the Aflao–Lomé border with Ghana, a busy crossing just minutes from central Lomé. From Benin, the Hillacondji–Sanvee Condji crossing east of Lomé is equally straightforward. Overland transport from Burkina Faso is possible through the north, with the main crossing at Cinkassé, but the road is long and the final stretch can be rough.
Bush taxis and minibuses link Lomé to Accra, Cotonou, and other regional capitals — a practical and affordable option if you are already in the region. The journey from Accra is around three to four hours.
Yellow fever
A yellow fever vaccination certificate is required for entry. Carry the card, as it is checked at the airport and sometimes at land borders.
