Kpimé Falls

A long, narrow waterfall about 12 kilometres east of Kpalimé. The water plunges roughly 100 metres down a basalt cliff into a clear pool. A small hydroelectric plant tapped the river above the falls in the 1980s, so the flow varies — it is at its most dramatic in the rainy season; in the dry months it can dwindle to a trickle.

The pool at the foot is good for a swim. A guide from the nearby village will take you down the steep path; pay 1,000–2,000 CFA for the service. Combine with a stop in the small market in Tomégbé village on the way.
