Togoville's sights are spread along a few sandy streets between the lake shore and the inland forest: the cathedral, the royal compound, a handful of Vodou shrines, and the small craft centre near the landing. A walk with a local guide will turn up far more than a self-guided wander — the layers of history here are not always visible to a stranger's eye.
