Getting There

Zarzis has a small airport (Djerba–Zarzis Airport) that serves primarily charter flights from Europe, with connections to France, Germany, and the UK in summer. The airport is shared with Jerba, about 35km away. Year-round scheduled services connect to Tunis on Tunisair.

From Tunis, shared taxis (louages) run to Zarzis in about 7 hours. Buses also cover the route but take longer. From Jerba, it is a 30-minute drive across the Roman causeway. From the Libyan border at Ras Jdir, Zarzis is the first major town, about 35km northwest.
