Flavours on Main Street is one of the most reliably good restaurants in Jinja, with a menu that covers Ugandan staples alongside grilled meats and Indian dishes reflecting the town's mixed culinary heritage. The matoke with groundnut sauce is worth ordering, and they do a good nyama choma (roast meat) in the evenings. Tables outside are pleasant when the temperature drops after dark.
Prices are reasonable and portions are generous. It's popular with locals and travellers alike, which is usually a good sign. The service is unhurried in the Ugandan way — fine for dinner, less ideal if you're trying to catch an early matatu to Kampala.
