Jinja has a decent range of places to eat for a town its size. Nile perch and tilapia from Lake Victoria are on most menus, and ugali, matoke, and rolex (a rolled chapati with egg and vegetables) are everywhere. The best restaurants cluster around the Main Street and along the riverfront.
