Jinja's main attraction is the Nile itself — the river dominates the town's geography and its entire tourism economy. White-water rafting is the headline act, but the river also offers kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, bungee jumping, and boat trips out to where the Nile begins. Away from the water, the Mabira Forest is one of the better birding spots in eastern Uganda.
