The Source of the Nile Bridge — a cable-stayed road bridge opened in 2018 — crosses the Victoria Nile just downstream from the dam and has quickly become one of the better vantage points for the river. Walking across it gives you a clear view of the water flowing north from the lake, with the dam visible upstream and the beginning of the Nile's long journey ahead.
The bridge also serves a practical purpose: it's part of the main route west towards Kampala and has reduced traffic pressure on the older Nalubaale Bridge nearby. But it's the view that draws visitors. Go in the late afternoon when the light on the water is good, or just cross it on the way to the Source of the Nile garden to get your bearings.
