The stretch of Nile between Jinja and Bujagali is one of the best commercially run white-water runs in Africa, with a full day on the river taking you through a series of grade 4 and 5 rapids. Several operators run full-day trips with safety kayakers and a support team — Adrift and Nile River Explorers have been doing it longest. The day starts early and you'll be back in town by late afternoon, battered but satisfied. You don't need experience; the guides handle the hard parts.
