Sinamatella

Northern Hwange camp on a ridge with wide views over riverbeds and quieter game country.

Sinamatella is the northern camp of Hwange, set on a ridge above a broad riverbed and open country. The setting alone makes it worth the drive: from camp you look out across a huge sweep of woodland and grass, with elephants and antelope sometimes visible below before you have even started the engine.

The sector feels quieter and more self-reliant than Main Camp. Roads can be slower, distances longer, and services thinner, but the reward is a stronger sense of wilderness. Sinamatella is also good for birding, especially raptors riding the ridge thermals and dry-country species in the surrounding woodland.
