Gazar Gah is the blue-tiled Sufi shrine of Khoja Abdullah Ansari, set just outside Herat. The complex is one of the city's most atmospheric religious sites, with Kufic calligraphy, a large tomb structure at the back, and a steady local rhythm that makes it more than a quick photo stop.
