Shoilo Propat is a natural waterfall about 5km south of Bandarban town, reached by a short walk from the road. During and just after the monsoon (roughly July-October) the waterfall is at its most impressive, with a good volume of water dropping over a rocky shelf into a pool below. In the dry season it dwindles considerably.
The site is popular with local visitors and day-trippers from Chittagong, particularly at weekends. Facilities are basic — a few food stalls at the trailhead, nothing more. The walk in is easy and takes about 15-20 minutes from the road. CNG auto-rickshaws from Bandarban town cover the distance; agree on a price before getting in.
