Kep Beach

Compact crescent beach at Kep's waterfront, busiest on Cambodian weekends and holidays.

Kep Beach is the town's public seaside stage: a short crescent of sand backed by food stalls, fruit sellers, and the road that loops around the peninsula. It is at its liveliest on weekends and holidays, when Cambodian families arrive with mats, coolers, grilled seafood, and a relaxed sense of ownership.

During the week it can feel almost empty. The beach is not Cambodia's finest strip of sand, but it is central to Kep's rhythm and works well before or after the crab market.
