Phnom Voar

Quiet hillside with coastal views and a small shrine, near Kep

Phnom Voar is a small hill rising above the coastal plain a short distance from the national park. A rough path leads up through the trees to a viewpoint that looks out over the Gulf of Thailand, with Rabbit Island visible on clear days. A modest Khmer shrine sits near the top, tended by local monks.

The climb is short — perhaps 30 minutes up — and not technically demanding, though the path can be slippery in the wet season. Fewer visitors come here than to the main national park trails, making it a good option if you want a quieter morning walk.
