The forested hill behind the town is a proper national park with marked hiking trails. The main loop takes about two hours and climbs through dense jungle to a ridge with views over the coast and the islands in the Gulf of Thailand. It's best done early morning before the heat sets in — the paths are shaded but the humidity is real. The entrance is just off the main road near the town centre. Bring water and wear shoes you don't mind getting muddy.
