Filling the entire block where Wangfujing meets Chang'an Avenue, Oriental Plaza is one of the largest mall complexes in central Beijing — a long indoor concourse of mid- to upmarket international brands, a sizeable food court, restaurants, a cinema, and offices and a hotel above. It marks the southern end of the Wangfujing shopping street and connects directly to Wangfujing subway station on Line 1.
It is shopping-mall Beijing rather than old Beijing, but it is a convenient, cool, and comprehensive place to eat or shelter, and an easy landmark to navigate by at the foot of the street.
