Jiayuguan's sites are clustered around the Great Wall complex west of the city. The Jiayu Pass fortress is the centrepiece; the Overhanging Wall and First Pier sections are extensions that each take half a day to do properly. The Wei Jin Tombs are east of town and require a separate trip. Allow at least two full days to cover the main sites without rushing.
