Nanguan Grand Mosque

Nanguan Grand Mosque, also known as Gongnanmen Mosque or Nanshao Gate Mosque, is one of Lanzhou's long-established Muslim landmarks. The mosque traces its origins to the Hongwu period of the Ming dynasty, though the present building was rebuilt in 1986.

It is worth a short stop for travelers interested in Lanzhou's Hui Muslim culture and the city's older religious geography. Be respectful around prayer times and avoid treating the mosque as a casual photo stop.
