The Lighthouse of Buddha is a riverside landmark tied to the old navigation of the Hanjiang River. Local tradition says its light warned boats through a dangerous stretch and later became linked with a story of an emperor seeing it as a sign from a bodhisattva.
It is a short stop, best combined with Chaozhou's old bridges, temples, and riverside streets rather than treated as a destination on its own.
