The Longji terraces are primarily an experience of landscape and light — the viewpoints, the village walks, and the seasonal changes to the paddy water and rice crop are the content. The two main terrace areas (Ping'An for Zhuang culture, Dazhai/Tiantouzhai for Yao culture and hair traditions) feel genuinely different and are worth visiting separately if you have two nights.
