Liupanshui's draws are primarily outside the city — the Duge Bridge and the Beipan River gorge to the southeast, Danxia Mountain to the south, and the high-altitude plateau grasslands around Shuicheng to the northwest. The city itself is a working industrial town, honest about it, and best used as a base for the surrounding landscapes.
