Qingyan is 29 kilometres south of Guiyang city centre and straightforwardly accessible on a day trip. The most direct route is metro Line 2 to Huaxi Park station, then bus 210 or a short taxi ride south to the town entrance — the total journey from central Guiyang takes about 50 minutes. Taxis from Guiyang cost around ¥80–100 for the direct trip, or you can take a rideshare. Dedicated tourist coaches also depart from Guiyang's Hebin Park area in the morning.
The town is not large enough to warrant an overnight stay for most visitors, but a weekday morning visit avoids the weekend crowds significantly. The entrance area can be congested on public holidays; arriving before 9am makes a substantial difference.
