Luhuitou is a small but distinct corner of the Sanya area — a forested headland with one big park, a few coves of clear water, and a working fishing harbour at the foot of the hill. It is the obvious half-day side-trip from a stay in central Sanya, and a useful contrast to the resort beaches along Yalong Bay or Dadonghai.
