Tianyahaijiao is 24 kilometres west of Sanya city centre. Taxis from Sanya take around 30 minutes depending on traffic and cost approximately 60–80 yuan. Several tour companies include Tianyahaijiao on half-day Sanya circuits, which is a reasonable option if you are also visiting Luhuitou or Dadonghai.
A public bus (route 26) runs from Sanya city centre and takes about an hour. The entrance fee to the scenic area is charged separately from transport. Entrance includes access to the beach, the inscribed rocks, and the small museum.
