Haixing Wetland and Bird Nature Reserve protects a coastal wetland of shoals, channels, marshes, and still water shaped by both river and sea. Its main interest for visitors is birdlife, especially in the quieter parts of the reserve.
It is well outside central Cangzhou, so treat it as a nature excursion rather than an urban stop. Bring binoculars if birdwatching is your reason for going.
