The city centre and the Mountain Resort are walkable from each other. The Eight Outer Temples are spread across a wider area to the north and northeast of the resort — most visitors take taxis between them, which are cheap and plentiful. Tuk-tuks (electric three-wheelers) also operate around the temple circuit and will negotiate a price for the day.
Inside the Mountain Resort itself, cycling is the most efficient way to cover the extensive grounds — bikes are available for hire at the main gate.
Buses cover the main tourist routes but can be slow and crowded in peak season.
