Dingzhou sits on the Beijing–Guangzhou high-speed rail corridor and has its own station, Dingzhou East, served by many trains on the line. Journey time from Beijing is roughly one hour; from Shijiazhuang it is under thirty minutes. The pagoda compound is a short taxi ride from the station.
Slower conventional trains also stop at the older Dingzhou station closer to the city centre. For travellers coming from Baoding, buses run regularly and the journey takes about an hour on the expressway.
