Jiamusi's appeal is ecological: the wetlands of the Sanjiang Plain are the reason to come, and the city itself is the base from which to reach them. The Honghe Nature Reserve and the Sanjiangkou wetland park define what is special here. The city centre offers the food and logistics; the rivers and marshes offer the reason.
