By train: Local train services connect Suifenhe to Mudanjiang and onward to the main Heilongjiang rail network. Journey times are similar to the bus, sometimes longer. For travellers crossing into Russia, the twice-weekly international train service connects Suifenhe to Vladivostok, though this requires a valid Russian visa obtained in advance.
