Anyang lies on the Beijing–Guangzhou high-speed railway corridor, making it easy to reach from both Beijing (about two hours south) and Zhengzhou (about forty minutes north). The high-speed station, Anyangdong, sits on the eastern edge of the city and is served by frequent services throughout the day. The older Anyang railway station handles slower trains and is more central.
By road, Anyang is on the G4 expressway connecting Beijing and Guangzhou. Long-distance buses serve destinations throughout Henan and into Hebei. The city has a small military airport (Anyang Airport) with limited civilian operations; most visitors flying in use Zhengzhou Xinzheng International Airport and take the high-speed train north.
