The 44-metre red-brick and granite Clock Tower is all that survives of the original Kowloon-Canton Railway Terminus, demolished in 1978. Built in 1915, it was declared a monument in 1990. It stands on the waterfront promenade near the Star Ferry terminal and the Hong Kong Cultural Centre, and makes a useful landmark and photo point with the harbour behind it.
