Taizhou is served by Yangzhou Taizhou Airport, which handles domestic routes to Beijing, Guangzhou, Chengdu, and several other major Chinese cities. The airport is shared administratively with neighbouring Yangzhou and sits between the two cities.
By high-speed rail, Taizhou is on the Nanjing–Nantong intercity line, connecting it to Nanjing in under an hour. From Shanghai, the most practical route involves changing at Nanjing or Nantong. Slower conventional trains serve the older Taizhou station. Bus services connect Taizhou to most nearby Jiangsu cities, including Yangzhou and Nantong, and are often the most convenient option for short hops.
