Xuzhou Botanical Gardens is a useful green stop in a city better known to travellers for Han-dynasty tombs, museums, and military history. The gardens offer a softer counterpoint: planted landscapes, seasonal flowers, and paths that work well when you need a break from denser sightseeing.
It is not the top reason to visit Xuzhou, but it is a credible addition for longer stays or family itineraries. Go in good weather and treat it as a park visit rather than expecting a major national botanical collection.
