Jin Xiugu (锦绣谷, Brocade Valley) is one of Lushan's main hiking corridors — a forested valley with a stone pathway running along its edge, passing viewpoints over the mist-filled gorge below and looking out toward Poyang Lake on clear days. The valley takes its name from the dense patchwork of vegetation that covers its slopes, which in autumn turns the hillside shades of amber, red, and gold visible from the path above.
The circuit through Jin Xiugu connecting to Immortal Cave (仙人洞) and several rock formations takes about two to three hours. The path is well-maintained stone steps throughout, and the viewpoints are well-positioned for photography. The combination of this circuit with a visit to the Lushan Botanical Garden and the colonial Guling streets can fill a full day comfortably.
